‘Happy Face’: Dennis Quaid Reveals Why Portraying Serial Killer Was ‘Much Easier’ Than He Thought
In the new Paramount+ series “Happy Face,” Dennis Quaid portrays convicted serial killer Keith Jesperson, while Annaleigh Ashford plays his daughter Melissa. The title refers to the “Happy Face Killer” moniker Jesperson was given after sending haunting notes to the media with smiley faces on them. The true crime series is inspired by Melissa’s life story as she navigates her father being a real-life killer. Dennis plays his role with bone-chilling perfection and tells Access Hollywood about the experience. New episodes of “Happy Face” drop Thursdays on Paramount+.
