James Marsden Made Sure Ronald Gladden Knew His ‘Jury Duty’ Friendships Were ‘Real’ After Big Reveal

James Marsden made sure Ronald Gladden knew that the friendships the cast made with him on “Jury Duty” weren’t part of the act! “We were so worried how he was going to react when we did the reveal,” he told Access Hollywood at the docu-comedy series’ red carpet finale at Universal CityWalk Hollywood. “I couldn’t get to him fast enough,” he added. “I wanted to sprint up to him and give him a big hug, just to know that, ‘Hey listen. Yes, this was all fake, but not all of it was fake. Our connections that we made, our friendships that we made are all real. It was important to me that he knew that.” James also discussed what made him join the show and how he kept from breaking into laughter during funny moments. Plus, he looked back on his experience filming “The Notebook,” which will celebrate it’s 20th anniversary next year. “Jury Duty” is streaming now on Amazon Freevee.
