Jennifer Lopez & Brett Goldstein Share How Chemistry For Latest Romcom ‘Office Romance’ Was Instant

Jennifer Lopez and Brett Goldstein are heating up summer with their latest romcom “Office Romance”! The costars chatted with Access Hollywood correspondent Emily Orozco ahead of the film’s release and explained how they knew “right away” that they had the proper chemistry. “On the first zoom we did,” Goldstein said, with Lopez adding, “On the first zoom we were like, ‘This is going to be good!’” JLO also shared that if she could reprise one of her past romcom characters, she’d choose her role as Marisa Ventura from “Maid in Manhattan” – which Goldstein emphatically agreed with. “That one or ‘Monster-in-Law’ I think would be a good sequel. I’d love to do another one with Jane [Fonda],” Lopez added. The actress additionally reflected on her children, 18-year-old twins Max and Emme, heading off to college as she explained how she’s adjusting to this new chapter of her life. “Two months ago, it crept up on me and I was just like, ‘Holy s—t. They’re leaving the house. Oh my God. Okay, alright I can do this. I can handle this.’ I’ve been a little bit of a weepy mess at times during this time. I don’t know that I’ve been waiting for it or have anything – I want to do still a lot of things with my life as I always have wanted to do,” she said, adding, “The past 20 years of my life has been about them. And now it’s like, ‘Ok what’s the next 20 years going to be like?’” The singer went on to share how she plans to continue to be creative and tackle new projects, including being open to a Broadway run. Plus, the costars played an HR violation game inspired by their latest blockbuster. “Office Romance” is out on Netflix June 5, 2026.
