Jimmy Kimmel is celebrating his son Billy’s 8th birthday and giving follower’s an update on the boy’s congenital heart disease. On April 21, the “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” host shared a photo on Instagram of his son happily eating a bowl of ice cream. In the caption, the dad said that Billy is feeling “very healthy and strong,” and they encourage supporters to donate to Children’s Hospital L.A. William John Kimmel, aka Billy, was born April 21, 2017, with a congenital heart condition called Tetralogy of Fallot, which involves several heart defects pumping oxygen-poor blood throughout the body. To date, Billy has had three open-heart surgeries to treat the disease.
