John Travolta Recalls Near-Death Experience While Flying A Plane: ‘I Thought It Was Over’
John Travolta is looking back at the moment he thought he was “going to die.” While at the London premiere of his movie “The Shepard,” the 69-year-old opened up about a terrifying experience he had while flying a plane, which mirrored a similar storyline to the Disney+ short film. “I actually experienced a total electrical failure … in a corporate jet over Washington D.C. So, when I read ‘The Shepard’ it resonated even more because of this experience I had personally had,” he said, per Variety. “I knew what it felt like to absolutely think you’re going to die. I had two good jet engines, but I had no instruments, no electric, nothing. And I thought it was over.”
