Judi Dench Says Her Worsening Vision Has Made It ‘Impossible’ To See Scripts To Learn Her Lines

Judi Dench is adapting to a difficult health challenge. The Oscar winner has been battling macular degeneration and opened up about the condition on Friday’s “The Graham Norton Show,” explaining that her eyesight has now worsened to the point that she can no longer see scripts well enough to learn her lines. “It has become impossible and because I have a photographic memory, I need to find a machine that not only teaches me my lines but also tells me where they appear on the page,” she said.
