Lily Gladstone Begins Powerful Golden Globe Speech In Blackfeet Language: ‘This Is A Historic One’
Lily Gladstone made history with her Golden Globe win! The “Killers of the Flower Moon” star took home Best Actress in A Motion Picture – Drama for portraying Mollie Burkhart in the film, becoming the first indigenous actor to win the award. Lily was visibly emotional taking the stage and began her acceptance speech with a few sentences in the Blackfeet language. “I just spoke a bit of Blackfeet language, a beautiful community nation that raised me and encouraged me to keep going, keep doing this,” she said.
