Lily-Rose Depp Was ‘Impressed’ By Abel ‘The Weeknd’ Tesfaye’s ‘Fearless’ ‘The Idol’ Performance
“The Idol” made its debut at Cannes, marking the first time ever a series has premiered at the film festival! Access Hollywood guest correspondent Jacqueline Coley caught up with Lily-Rose Depp in France and spoke to her about the show. They discussed her pop star character – who some have compared to Britney Spears – and her preparation for the role. She also shared what it was like to act alongside Abel Tesfaye, also known by his stage name The Weeknd. “He’s so fearless, and he’s just very grounded. I was very impressed with his ability to just melt into the role,” Lily-Rose shared. “The Idol” premieres on HBO on June 4 at 9 PM and will also be available to stream on Max.
