Madonna Addresses Health Scare & Brings Daughters On Stage At Opening Night Of ‘Celebration’ Tour
Madonna marked an eventful opening night for her “Celebration” Tour in London by opening up about her health scare and bringing her daughters on stage. On October 14, the “Material Girl” singer wowed the crowd at the O2 Arena with the help of three of her kids, Mercy, Lourdes, and Estere. While 27-year-old Lourdes sat by her mom’s side, 10-year-old Estere danced to a mashup of her mom’s hits. 17-year-old Mercy stunned when she played the piano for her mom’s iconic song, “Bad Girl.” As the show continued Madonna opened up about the serious illness she faced recently that resulted in her postponing her tour. “I didn’t think I was going to make it. Neither did my children, that’s why I woke up with them all around me,” she told the audience according to Deadline. Madge was hospitalized in June after suffering a bacterial infection. During the concert, she reportedly shared more of what she went through in those harrowing moments. “I forgot five days of my life – or my death. But the angels were protecting me. If you want to know my secret, how I survived, I thought, ‘I’ve got to be there for my children. I’ve got to pull through for them.’” She said according to the publication.
