Mark Wahlberg Shares Update On Daughter Grace’s Horseback Riding Injury: ‘Terrifying’ (EXCLUSIVE)

Mark Wahlberg’s daughter is getting back in the saddle. The actor shared an update on how his and wife Rhea Durham’s youngest child, 15-year-old Grace, is faring after she was injured in a horseback riding accident. Mark spoke out on the situation while chatting with Access Hollywood alongside his “The Family Plan 2” co-star Michelle Monaghan, sharing how proud he is of Grace and her determination. “It was terrifying,” he said. “It’s a very, very dangerous sport, but she’s so passionate about it. … All she wanted to do was get back on that horse. No pun intended, but just champing at the bit and, you know, worried that we would deem the sport too dangerous, but she is so passionate, so dedicated.” Mark went on to confirm that Grace is doing well and praised her discipline, noting that she gets up at 4 a.m. and goes to the barn “seven days a week” to do “whatever she has to do to care for the horses and in her training.” Details of Grace’s injury have not been made public, but Mark’s latest comments follow a Nov. 2 Instagram photo the teen shared of herself in a hospital bed with her arm in a sling. “No pressure we will be back,” she wrote in her caption, as Mark chimed in with supportive emojis. She and mom Rhea share frequent peeks at her equestrian life, including multiple photos and videos from her many competitions. And Mark is a dedicated dad on and off-screen, teasing with Access how his character in the upcoming “Family Plan” sequel has a daughter around Grace’s age and what tips he has for any potential suitor trying to win his fatherly approval. “If they call me Mr. Wahlberg, I know they’re full of s***,” he smiled. “The Family Plan 2” drops Nov. 21 on AppleTV+.
