Matt LeBlanc Honors Matthew Perry In Sentimental Tribute: ‘I Will Always Smile When I Think of You’

Matt LeBlanc is speaking out for the first time following Matthew Perry’s death. The “Friends” alum took to Instagram on Nov. 14 to share a tribute for his late comedic co-star. “Matthew It is with a heavy heart I say goodbye. The times we had together are honestly among the favorite times of my life. It was an honor to share the stage with you and to call you my friend. I will always smile when I think of you and I’ll never forget you. Never. Spread your wings and fly brother you’re finally free. Much love. And I guess you’re keeping the 20 bucks you owe me,” he penned alongside many screen grabs from their hit series. The last pic in Matt’s carousel of sentimental photos was a candid shot of the pair with the “Friends” cast, including Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, Courteney Cox and David Schwimmer, huddled into a group hug. Matthew died on Oct. 28 at his home in Los Angeles. On Nov. 9, the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health revealed his cause of death had been deferred.
