Matthew Perry Was ‘In A Good Place’ Before His Death, ‘Friends’ Co-Creator Marta Kauffman Says

It’s been four days since Matthew Perry was tragically found dead at his Pacific Palisades, Calif. home. Now, fans are getting more information about his final weeks directly from “Friends” creators Marta Kauffman and David Crane. “He seemed better than I had seen in a while. I was so thrilled to see that. He was emotionally in a good place. He looked good. He quit smoking,” Marta told “TODAY” on Nov. 1. She also shared of the sad and surprising news of his passing, “I was just in utter shock. My first impulse was to text him, honestly.”
