Michael Strahan’s Daughter Isabella, 19, Reveals Brain Tumor Battle: ‘I Don’t Wanna Hide It’
Michael Strahan’s daughter is opening up for the first time about her battle with a malignant brain tumor. The former NFL star and his 19-year-old daughter, Isabella, sat down for an interview with “Good Morning America’s” Robin Roberts that aired Jan. 11 to discuss Isabella’s medulloblastoma diagnosis. “I’m feeling good. Not too bad…I’m very excited for this whole process to wrap. But you just have to keep living every day, I think, through the whole thing,” she said. Isabella discovered her condition in late October and underwent emergency surgery at Cedars-Sinai hospital in Los Angeles to remove the mass days later, just before her 19th birthday, and she detailed how this all happened during her freshman year at the University of Southern California. Medulloblastoma is relatively common, with an estimated 500 children diagnosed with it each year. Though Michael noted that the condition is rare for a late teen, he’s grateful to the doctors who helped discover Isabella’s tumor.
