Nicki Minaj Apologizes To Fans For Postponing Concert Following Arrest And Release In Amsterdam

Nicki Minaj is apologizing to her fans following her arrest and release in the Netherlands. The rapper was released from custody hours after she was arrested at an airport in Amsterdam on May 25, which she livestreamed on social media, for allegedly carrying “soft drugs” and ended up postponing a concert on her “Pink Friday 2 World Tour” in Manchester, England. “Thank you to everyone who prayed for me today. May God cover you & all that is connected to you. May you be blessed beyond your imagination,” Nicki said in part on “X,” adding, “Please please please accept my deepest & most sincere apologies. They sure did know exactly how to hurt me today but this too, shall pass.” NBC News reported Saturday that Dutch police did not identify the name of the person arrested, but when asked if it was the rapper a spokesperson reportedly said officers had “arrested a 41-year-old American woman at Schiphol Airport because of possession of soft drugs.” The outlet also reported that she was fined.
