Olivia Rodrigo Reacts To Her ‘Hunger Games’ Song Making Oscars Shortlist: ‘It’s So Incredible’
Olivia Rodrigo’s song “Can’t Catch Me Now,” which was featured in “The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes,” made the Oscars shortlist for Best Original Song! “It’s so incredible. I mean, there’s so many people on that list who I am so inspired by, so many songs that I think are incredible, so it’s an honor,” Olivia told Access Hollywood’s Scott Evans at the 2024 Governors Awards. She also shared that she had no idea the track would be in awards contention while she was writing it, saying, “I think that if I was writing a song and thought about how other people were going to hear it, I just would be so overcome by anxiety that I couldn’t write at all, so I try to kind of block that all out and just write for me.”
