Olympic Gold Medalist Mary Lou Retton Arrested on DUI Charge

Olympic Gymnast Mary Lou Retton was arrested in West Virginia on a DUI charge, according to a filing by the state’s Supreme Court of Appeals. The May 17 filing states that the gold medalist was charged with “driving while under influence of alcohol, controlled substances, or drugs.” It also reflects that she paid a $1,500 personal recognizance bond that same day.
