Oprah Winfrey Reveals Why She Encouraged Gayle King To Say Yes To Space Flight

Katy Perry, Gayle King and the rest of the historic all-women team roared off into space on Blue Origin’s New Shepard launch vehicle. Gayle had best friend Oprah Winfrey cheering her on as she conquered her fear of flying. “I think it’s going to be cathartic in so many ways for her,” Oprah said at the launch. She also added of why she told Gayle to do it, “I felt deeply that she would regret it, and I didn’t want to hear about it for the next 15 years, ‘I wish I had gone.'”
