Prince Harry Condemns HALO Aid Worker Killings As ‘An Act Of Barbarism’
Prince Harry is speaking out against an attack that left 10 aid workers in Afghanistan dead. Earlier this week, 26 staff members from the international demining charity HALO Trust were killed or wounded after a group of armed men entered a camp site near the Baghlan province and opened fire. The Duke of Sussex issued a statement on the tragedy, both condemning the horrific violence as “an act of barbarism” and reflecting on the legacy the slain workers leave behind. Harry has been involved with the HALO Trust for years and his connection to the group goes back even further. In 2019, he followed in his late mother Princess Diana’s footsteps at a minefield in Angola she famously visited 22 years earlier, just months before her tragic death.
