Prince William and Kate Middleton are speaking out after a terror attack left at least 11 people dead in Sydney, Australia. On Dec. 14, two gunmen opened fire at Bondi Beach where Jewish community members were celebrating the first night of Hanukkah, leading officials to label the incident as “an act of evil, antisemitism, terrorism.” One of the shooters was killed, while another is in custody in critical condition, per NBC News, with authorities investigating if anyone else was involved. The Prince and Princess of Wales released a statement on Sunday in which they sent their condolences to “every Australian.” “Our thoughts are with every Australian today following the terrible attack at Bondi Beach. We extend our deepest condolences to the families and friends of those who have lost their lives and stand with the Jewish community in grief,” the royal couple said in part.
