Princess Aiko Of Japan Makes First Royal Appearance After Princess Mako Leaves Imperial Family

Princess Aiko of Japan just made her royal debut. The 20-year-old royal joined her parents, Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako in a New Year celebration at the Imperial Palace in Tokyo earlier this month. This is her first public event since she started her royal duties with the imperial family last month. She turned 20 on Dec. 1 and greeted the press at a coming-of-age ceremony on Dec. 5.
