Queen Elizabeth Unveils Her New Portrait & Shares Sweet Message Ahead Of Her Platinum Jubilee

Queen Elizabeth is kicking off her Platinum Jubilee by sharing her new portrait! The 96-year-old monarch looked regal in the new photo released on Wednesday as she sat near a window and sported a dusty blue Angela Kelly coat dress with pearl and diamante trim. She accessorized the look with a pearl necklace and earrings, and in a surprise twist she opted to not wear a crown. The portrait was shot by Ranald Mackechnie in the Victoria Vestibule at Windsor Castle last week and was released ahead of her Platinum Jubilee celebration which starts on Thursday.
