Steven Spielberg and Rachel Zegler chatted with Access Hollywood at the premiere of “West Side Story” and discussed why this is the perfect time for the film to come out. The 74-year-old director also shared why Rachel got the iconic role of Maria. The 20-year-old actress also revealed that she asked Steven if she could still do her high school musical “Shrek” after getting cast in the role. “West Side Story” is in theaters Dec. 10.
