Ryan Reynolds Praises Wife Blake Lively In Rare Comment Amid Justin Baldoni Legal Battle

Ryan Reynolds is sharing praise for his wife Blake Lively amid her legal battle with Justin Baldoni and Wayfarer Studios. While speaking in conversation with Willie Geist for an interview which aired on “Today’s” Sunday Sitdown Live series, the “Deadpool” star raved over his wife as he noted how proud he is of her after Geist asked how the family has coped with handling the public legal drama. “You really see kind of the illusion behind so much of this stuff – digital life versus real life. Really, without getting into too much, I have never in my life been more proud of my wife,” he said as the audience began to clap, adding, “People have no idea what is really going on. I’ve never been more proud of someone in my life, with that level of integrity that they bring with them in everything they do.” Earlier in the conversation, Reynolds described his wife and their four children as “everything.” “I mean that’s it. When we finally close our eyes to this mortal dumb show those are the ones that are going to matter.” Baldoni and Lively, who co-starred in “It Ends With Us,” are headed to trial next month over three of Lively’s allegations after U.S. District Judge Lewis J. Liman dismissed 10 of her other claims in early April, including those related to sexual harassment. Baldoni has denied Lively’s allegations. The situation first made headlines in December 2024 when Lively filed a lawsuit. The trial is scheduled to begin May 18.
