Colby Rubin joined the Los Angeles news station’s morning broadcast on May 13 to remember his father in an emotional on-air tribute and share a heartbreaking message he wishes he had shared with Sam earlier. “You won’t be at my wedding. I can’t believe you’re gone. I love you so much,” Colby said, calling the Los Angeles legend “the kindest soul.” Sam passed away on May 10 after a heart attack, his family confirmed to KTLA. He was 64. In addition to Colby, he is survived by his wife, Leslie, and three other children.
