Sterling K. Brown Raves Over Meeting Meryl Streep & Getting This Compliment On ‘American Fiction’

This year’s Academy Award nominees joined together to celebrate at the 2024 Oscars luncheon last week. Sterling K. Brown, who is nominated for Best Supporting Actor for his work in “American Fiction,” was among those at the big event, and Access Hollywood chatted with him about his exciting accomplishment. He reflected on choosing acting as a career and shared his thoughts on being nominated alongside Robert Downey Jr. in “Oppenheimer.” Plus, he recalled how Meryl Streep recently gave him a touching compliment about his “American Fiction” performance. “She goes, ‘Oh my god, your work is so beautiful.’ When Meryl Streep tells you that your work I beautiful, it penetrates. It penetrates. She hugged me. It took me a while to take a shower, because I just wanted to keep the Meryl on me,” he quipped. The Oscars air March 10 at 7 PM ET/4 PM PT on ABC.
