Taylor Swift Reveals If She Gave Those Who Inspired ‘Speak Now’ Songs A Heads Up In 2010 Interview
Taylor Swift’s release “Speak Now (Taylor’s Version)” has been a smash success since it dropped last month. The original album came out in 2010, and Access Hollywood then-host Tony Potts sat down with Taylor back then to talk about how she channels her experiences into her songs. She also shared that she wasn’t planning to tip off any of the people who inspired the album’s tracks ahead of time, explaining, “I don’t think I’m going to give anybody a heads up that they’re the inspiration for songs on the record, because they’re going to know. They’re definitely going to know when it comes out, so I’m definitely not going to like give them the heads up and have them be anxious until it comes out.”
