‘The Blind Side’ Subject Michael Oher Sues Tuohy Family, Claims He Was Deceived Into Conservatorship
The 2009 movie “The Blind Side” told the true story of NFL star Michael Oher, who was adopted by the Tuohy family when he was a teen experiencing homelessness. Now, Oher alleges Leigh Anne Tuohy and her husband Sean Tuohy never officially adopted him, but instead allegedly deceived him into making them his conservators just after his 18th birthday. In a legal petition filed Aug. 14 in Tennessee, Oher claims the Tuohys used the conservatorship to make themselves and their birth children millions of dollars in royalties from “The Blind Side.” The Tuohys have not responded to Access Hollywood’s request for comment at the time of broadcast.
