Timothée Chalamet Reveals He Was Supposed To Have a Cameo In ‘Barbie’

Timothée Chalamet is kenough! The actor, 27, stopped by “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” on Dec. 13 and he dished about the cameo he and pal Saoirse Ronan were supposed to have in Greta Gerwig’s box-office hit, “Barbie.” “I don’t know what the cameo would’ve been. I think it would’ve been one of the rejected Kens or Barbies. Not Allan! Maybe there was a reject French one along the way,” he joked. Timothée shot his upcoming film “Wonka” on the same Warner Bros. UK lot where Greta filmed “Barbie,” so he was at least able to visit the pink set. Timothée and Saoirse weren’t the only actors who couldn’t make “Barbie” fit into their schedule. The film’s casting directors revealed back in July that Bowen Yang, Dan Levy and Ben Platt were all in the running to play versions of Ken in the film but scheduling conflicts prevented it from happening. Jonathan Groff is also said to have been up for the role of Ken’s long-suffering friend Allan before Michael Cera landed the part.
