Toby Keith Dead at 62 After Battling Stomach Cancer

Country legend Toby Keith has died at 62 years old. The “Red Solo Cup” singer, who had been battling stomach cancer since 2022, died on Monday, according to a statement shared by his family on his social media accounts. “Toby Keith passed peacefully last night on February 5th, surrounded by his family. He fought his fight with grace and courage. Please respect the privacy of his family at this time,” the statement read in part. Toby broke into the country music scene in the early 1990s and went on to become an icon of the genre. Back in September, Blake Shelton presented the “Should’ve Been A Cowboy” singer with The Country Icon Award at the 2023 People’s Choice Country Awards. The iconic country crooner is survived by his wife Tricia, and their three children, Krystal, Stelen and Shelley.
