Wendy Williams is speaking out following her recent health diagnosis. The former talk show host released a statement on Friday, thanking her fans for their support after her care team disclosed she has aphasia and frontotemporal dementia. “Let me say, wow! Your response has been overwhelming. The messages shared with me have touched me, reminding me of the power of unity and the need for compassion,” the statement obtained by Access Hollywood reads in part. Wendy’s team revealed her diagnosis in a statement on Feb. 22 and addressed how the 59-year-old TV personality is coping. “Wendy is still able to do many things for herself,” it read in part. “Most importantly she maintains her trademark sense of humor and is receiving the care she requires to make sure she is protected and that her needs are addressed.”
