What Kate Middleton’s Trooping The Colour Appearance Will Mean To George, Charlotte & Louis

Kate Middleton gave an update on her health journey on June 14, revealing she will be attending Trooping the Colour festivities on June 15. In the update, the Princess of Wales also issued a rare photo and heartfelt message as she continues cancer treatment, telling well-wishers in a written statement that she is feeling good about her prognosis and has plans for returning to public appearances in the coming weeks. Kate also released a new portrait from photographer Matt Porteous showing her posing against a tree in a serene landscape. The Daily Mail’s U.S. Associate Editor, Charlie Lankston chatted with Access Hollywood after the announcement and discussed how surprising the update really is. “I mean it’s incredibly surprising. It really did come out of nowhere and I think that just goes to show how up and down Kate’s health and her cancer battle has been,” she told Access Hollywood. “She talked in her statement about uncertainty, and I think this is also the kind of uncertainty that she’s living with. She doesn’t know until less than 24 hours before an event whether she might be up to it,” she added. Charlie also talked about how meaningful it will be for her three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, to see Kate at Trooping the Colour and compared Kate’s new update to the video she shared when announcing her diagnosis.
