Will Ferrell’s ‘SNL’ Monologue Crashed By Chad Smith and Paul McCartney
Live from New York, it’s Will Ferrell! On May 16, the actor hosted the Season 51 finale of “Saturday Night Live” alongside musical guest Paul McCartney. The “Anchorman” star first appeared in the political cold open as the ghost of Jeffrey Epstein who visits President Trump, played by James Austin Johnson. Afterwards, the “SNL” alum appeared to take the stage for his monologue – although it wasn’t him, but his doppelganger, Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Chad Smith. Smith began to address the audience until Ferrell popped out from backstage, dressed in the same exact outfit. “What the hell is wrong with you? He pushed me down backstage. And I fell hard,” Ferrell said. Plus, during the biannual joke swap tradition on “Weekend Update,” Colin Jost was nearly forced to shave off his hair after Michael Che added in an apology for an offensive joke he wrote for his co-anchor.
