The brother-in-law of actress Aasha Davis has been arrested and charged with murdering his wife, who has been missing for more than a year.
Lyle Herring Sr. is scheduled to be arraigned Friday in Los Angeles. He was arrested Wednesday at California State University, Northridge, where he works as a recruiter.
Authorities say Herring’s wife, Lesley Herring, disappeared in February 2009 and has not been found. She was reported missing by her sister, Aasha Davis, after she failed to show up at work for several days.
Davis has appeared on TV’s “Grey’s Anatomy” and “Friday Night Lights.”
Lyle Herring denied last year that he was involved in his wife’s disappearance. He faces up to 15 years in prison if convicted.
