Allison Janney Bows Down To Tina Fey & Amy Poehler’s Hosting Skills

Allison Janney knows what it’s like to be in Tina Fey Amy Poehler’s shoes.

She and “Mom” co-star Anna Faris co-hosted the People’s Choice Awards on Wednesday, but on Sunday, she’s happy to watch from the crowd.

“I’m so glad I’m not hosting tonight. Let the professionals do it,” the Golden Globe nominated actress told Access Hollywood‘s Billy Bush on the red carpet.

Allison did admit that emceeing does come with its perks, though.

“I gotta tell you. There’s something great about hosting and that is you always have your own private little bathroom and you’re sort of like well taken care of when you’re a host,” she explained.

Although she told Billy she felt “powerful” in her red ensemble at the Golden Globes, she doesn’t have the courage to crack Bill Cosby jokes up on the stage.

“I think [Tina and Amy] can get away with a lot because everyone adores them,” she said. “They can do no harm, no wrong as far as I’m concerned. I couldn’t get away with it though.”

When it comes to George Clooney, Allison doesn’t think he’d be offended if the hosts poke fun at him.

“I think [he] can take it. He’s a guy that can take a little ribbing,” she said.
