Baby Boy Joy For Shakira!

Shakira has welcomed a baby boy with boyfriend Gerard Pique.

“We are happy to announce the birth of Milan Piqué Mebarak, son of Shakira Mebarak and Gerard Pique, born January 22nd at 9:36pm, in Barcelona, Spain,” the couple said in a joint statement on Tuesday.

Milan weighed 6lbs. 6 oz. at his birth and both mother and son are said to be in excellent health.

Milan “means dear, loving and gracious in Slavic; in Ancient Roman, eager and laborious; and in Sanskrit, unification,” the release continued.

Gerard is a FC Barcelona soccer player and the couple noted in the release that their baby boy, “became a member of FC Barcelona at birth.”
