“Bachelor” Sean Lowe once confessed his love for “Bachelorette” Emily Maynard, but now says he has realized she’s not right for him.
“She’s a beautiful girl and I think the world of Emily, but she’s not for me,” the reality TV hunk told Billy Bush and Kit Hoover on Thursday’s Access Hollywood Live.
“At the time I thought she was [the one],” he said, looking back on his time on “The Bachelorette.” “In the moment I really felt [love for her]… but, I don’t want a girl who doesn’t want me. I’ve moved on.”
Adding, “I’ve put it behind me. I can’t go back to Emily. It’s not in my cards to end up with her.”
Sean knows the chances are not in his favor when it comes to finding love (only 3 of 24 “Bachelor” and “Bachelorette” romances have survived!), but he’s determined to beat the odds.
“I’m in a position where I’m ready to get married, I know that,” he told Billy and Kit. “Some [of the contestants this season] are crazy, some are legitimately great girls… There’s a chance I could find love and it would work out.”
And don’t expect to see the 28-year-old ditching his native Texas for a relationship in the spotlight with a star.
“I don’t know if I’m ready to pursue a Hollywood relationship,” he added. “I’m happy being a normal guy from Dallas.”
“The Bachelor” airs Mondays at 8 PM on ABC.
