“Britney is doing good. She is a mighty fine young mother. ” – Jamie Spears, November 2006.
LOS ANGELES (April 20, 2007) — Britney Spears’ father offered a ringing endorsement for his daughter just six months, but how quickly things change, as Britney and dad Jamie Spears have begun their own public war of words.
Now, Jamie said if his daughter loses custody of her two children and her career continues to spiral, she has no one to blame but herself.
Jamie’s comments to the New York Post’s Page Six are supporting Britney’s former manager Larry Rudolph, who she fired last week.
According to the report, Britney blames Rudolph for forcing her into Promises rehab center following months of non-stop partying.
“He was doing what her mother, father and team of professionals with over 100 yeas of experience knew needed to be done. She was out of control,” Jamie said. “Unfortunately, she blames [Rudolph] and her family for where she is at today with her kids and career.”
After seeing the comments, the pop princess proceeded to respond.
“I am praying for my father. We have never had a good relationship. It’s sad that all the men that have been in my life do not know how to accept a real woman’s love,” Brit said in a statement to the New York Post. “I am concentrating on my work and my life right now.”
When it comes to Britney’s shaved head, there may be another reason why she did it.
Her aunt Sandra died the month before from cancer and according to Page Six, Britney’s friend says Brit was feeling guilty she hadn’t been there with her so she shaved her head as a sign of solidarity.
