“Dancing with the Stars” pro Mark Ballas had to hold celebrity partner Sadie Robertson in a place she wasn’t used to being held (on her glute) during their Monday night Adam & Eve-inspired routine, and she explained why she — at first — felt uncomfortable about it.
“The thing is, if you’re not a dancer, you’re just not used to stuff like that. Like you don’t realize that he has to [hold me there] or I will break my neck,” Sadie told Access Hollywood after the show, about the hold Mark had to do, which she expressed initial reservations over during their clip package.
“Here’s the thing, if I could change placement on certain things, I absolutely would, but that was a safety precaution. Like if my hand isn’t on her glute to thigh, she could potentially roll off and hit her head,” Mark said.

“And he showed me, like, he was like, ‘All right, look. Look what will happen,” Sadie said.
“I took my hand away and we put a mat down, of course, to be sure. It’s all counterbalance, so if you don’t have your hands in the right place, that’s how… injuries happen or people fall,” Mark added.

Another headline making moment from their clip package was when Mark addressed Len Goodman’s comments and scores for the pair’s Halloween week number. Mark suggested Len doesn’t like “things to be out of the box,” but he said he had no plans to change his choreography to suit the show’s head judge.
Asked by Access about his clip package comments after Monday’s show, Mark noted there is no bad blood between the two men.
“Nothing really affects him and to be honest, nothing really affects me,” Mark said.
“I grew up in England. I’ve known Len since I was 2 years old, he’s a family friend, so he likes what he likes, I like what I like and it just is what it is,” Mark noted, adding, “He’s not gonna hold a grudge, I’m not going to hold a grudge, it just is what it is.”
