Danica McKellar Shares Sunrise Wedding Details: It Was ‘Incredible’

Danica McKellar married Scott Svelosky in Hawaii on Saturday, and the former “Wonder Years” beauty shared details of her romantic day with Access Hollywood.

“We did a sunrise wedding and the timing was incredible,” Danica told Access’ Liz Hernandez on the red carpet at the American Music Awards on Sunday night in Los Angeles. “I was walking down the aisle as the sun actually came up over the mountains.”

Adding, “It was incredible. It was beautiful. It was amazing, and just seeing my fiance, now husband, standing there was incredible.”

The couple had to wake up before the break of dawn in order to say their vows as the island sun rose.

“We were in Kauai, so it’s only two hours different at this point in the year but it was better than if it were really 4:30 [AM],” she said, adding that the early wakeup call wasn’t that bad. “You know, in this business we have to wake up at the crack of dawn all the time. With media tours, you get up at like 2 AM and you’re like, ‘I’m getting up at 2am?!’ Yeah.”

Does Danica feel different as a wife?

“I don’t. I don’t know, I mean we were already such a team that, you know, we were just making it official,” she said.

And the actress (and “Dancing with the Stars” alum) weighed in on who she hopes wins the mirrorball trophy for “DWTS'” Season 19.

“I’ve been [to ‘DWTS’] I think five or six times this season. I love it,” she said. “And of course I’m so excited for Val [Chmerkovskiy], he has not won ‘Dancing With the Stars’ yet and I really, really want them to win.

“I’m rooting for them, but I’m also rooting for Alfonso [Ribeiro] because he’s a long time old friend too and he’s an amazing dancer,” she said.
