Former ‘Full House’ Star Jodie Sweetin Splits From Husband

Former “Full House” star Jodie Sweetin is splitting from her husband, according to People.

Sweetin, who played middle child Stephanie Tanner on the hit TV series, filed for legal separation from Cody Herpin after 16 months of marriage.

The couple welcomed their first child, daughter Zoie, back in April.

The split appears to have come as a surprise to Herpin.

“I was dumbfounded,” Herpin told People, adding that the actress left their home and took their daughter. “Over this past month something has been different. I’m concerned about our daughter and I just want (Zoie) home.”

A rep for Sweetin told People her client had “come to this path in their life and she felt like this is the way she had to go.”

Although the 26-year-old Sweetin called the situation “unfortunate,” the rep added “it’s just what has to happen right now.”

The rep wouldn’t provide any further details.

Sweetin previously battled with an addiction to methamphetamines. However, the rep said Sweetin is “absolutely clean.”

Sweetin was the host of Fuse TV’s “Pants-Off Dance-Off.” Herpin, 31, has worked as a set designer.

In September, the actress told People she and her husband were working on a new reality show.

“Kind of like a ‘Tori & Dean’ vibe, but we’re a little more rock and roll. We’re a little edgier,” Sweetin said at the time.
