Glam Slam: Jessica Pare’s Slick Mad Men Style

Jessica Pare, aka Mrs. Don Draper, hit the red carpet to celebrate the Season 6 Premiere of AMC’s “Mad Men” in Los Angeles last night looking gorgeous and sexy with her sleek pony.

She’s right on-trend.

Slicked back, low ponytails were all over the runway and Jessica’s stylist Marcus Francis shares how you too can achieve the look.

“Jessica and I love to collaborate to make each hairstyle we do different from the last. Feeling a style more sleek and worn down, it helped balance the very feminine feel of the dress and make it look modern and sexy, reminiscent to the ‘80s music video “Addicted to Love” by Robert Palmer.

On damp hair, use a tail comb and create a center part to the crown of your head. Apply Phytovolume Actif spray from roots to ends and blow dry hair with a medium size round brush.

Use a one-inch flat iron and smooth out the hair for a finished look. Lightly tease the crown for a subtle effect of fullness at the top. Smooth out with a bristle paddle brush, like a Mason Pearson.

Before pulling hair back into a ponytail, use a few pumps of a flexible hairspray like Moroccanoil Structuring Mist. Pull the hair down to a low ponytail at the nape of the neck and secure with an elastic. For shine and to tame any flyways, use a dime size amount of Oribe Supershine cream to the top as well as the ponytail.”
