Indiana Jones Role Won’t Be Recast, Sorry Chris Pratt

Put down the fedora and whip, Chris Pratt
– no else is going to be Indiana Jones!

After much “Indian Jones” reboot speculation –
following Disney’s purchase of Lucasfilm – some Ark of the Covenant,
face-melting-esque news has been
unearthed.

Once plans for another Indy
movie were announced, fans and the media have speculated wildly about who might
play a young Dr. Jones, with many thinking
“Jurassic World’s” Chris Pratt would be the ideal choice or possibly
Bradley Cooper.

Now Frank Marshall, who has produced all four “Indiana Jones” movies, has squashed the chatter.

“There are a lot of rumors,” he told Total Film, as excerpted by The Hollywood Reporter. “We haven’t even sat down to talk about Indy yet…. At some point, we’ll sit down. But there’s a bunch of people who could probably take the baton.”

Another Indy film
might be in the works, but don’t expect to see anyone else ever play Harrison
Ford’s iconic role.

“[We’re] not
doing the Bond thing where we’re going to call somebody else Indiana Jones….
We have to figure this out,” he added.
