Jaime Camil: Cast ‘Super Excited’ For Britney Spears’ ‘Jane The Virgin’ Guest Spot

Britney Spears is set to guest star on “Jane The Virgin” Season 2 and Jaime Camil cannot wait for his character, Rogelio, to cross paths with his “nemesis.”

“We’re super excited to have her on the show,” Jaime told Access Hollywood after a table read of the “JTV” Season 2 premiere episode on Tuesday. “And I think Jennie [Snyder Urman, the show’s executive producer and creator] and her team of writers, they’re going to write brilliant stuff for Rogelio and Britney to meet each other. It’s going to be brilliant.”

Jaime hasn’t seen a script yet, but knowing the pop superstar is on her way to the series, he’s already imagining what could happen in the drama.

“In Rogelio’s mind — and let me be very clear about that — only in his mind, Britney is his biggest nemesis,” Jaime laughed. “So let’s see what happens.

“I don’t know what they’re going to write for Britney, but I would love – because, in the real world, if Rogelio sees Britney and goes, ‘How dare [you], you’re here!’ Britney would go like, ‘All right, dude,'” he said.

Jaime said he would love it if “in her mind,” Britney also had “a rivalry with Rogelio.”

“That would be super fun,” he added.

While it’s assumed Jaime will be the one acting opposite Britney, Andrea Navedo, who plays Jane’s mom, Xiomara Villanueva, has her fingers crossed she’ll be involved too.

“I hope so. I want to be in a scene with her,” she said. “I definitely want to be in there in the mix with her.”

“Jane The Virgin” Season 2 premieres on October 12 at 9/8c on The CW.
