Jamie Lee Curtis Tempted To Join ‘Dancing’ After Watching Jennifer Grey’s Debut

Jennifer Grey has found a fan in friend and fellow actress Jamie Lee Curtis.

The “You Again” star rocked a front row seat for Jennifer’s “Dancing with the Stars” debut performance on Monday, and told Access Hollywood she plans to support the former “Dirty” dancer in person as often as possible.

“I was in the Team Jennifer Grey, uh… like, pen,” Jamie Lee told Access of her “Dancing” visit, at the premiere of “You Again” on Wednesday. “I’m hoping to be front row for Team Jennifer every week if I can. I’m going to try to.”

The former “Freaky Friday” star, who declined an invitation to join the current season of the hit reality dancing competition due to time constraints, said being at the live performance tempted her to change her mind.

“I wont be able to do it because my family commitments are such that I wouldn’t have the time for it,” Jamie Lee revealed. “I did do some moves in my kitchen all by myself at about 6:30 this morning — like some quick steps and I was like, ‘Yeah, I’ve got it!’… It’s funny — it definitely, definitely made me go, ‘Hmmm.’”

“I’m not going to, but it was fun to think about it,” she added.

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, Jennifer earned rave reviews on Monday night for her emotional “Dancing” debut performance with professional partner Derek Hough.

The two performed an enchanting Viennese waltz choreographed by Derek (and set to “These Arms of Mine,” a song from 1987’s “Dirty Dancing”), that brought back memories of Jennifer’s late former co-star, Patrick Swayze, and left judge Carrie Ann Inaba – and much of the audience – in tears.
