Cory Monteith was remembered at Sunday’s Emmy Awards by his co-star Jane Lynch, who told Access Hollywood she was touched that she was able to pay tribute to her late co-star.
“I was really honored just to be able to tell people who Cory was. He was a guy who had such a huge heart and a generous spirit,” she told Access at the Fox Emmy Party.
“It’s so sad that he’s gone,” she added.

The actress hoped the tribute helped “Glee” viewers.
“I know there are a bunch of fans out there mourning his loss and I think it was good for us to stand up there with a picture of his beautiful mug and remember who he was,” she continued.

Jane also weighed in on Neil Patrick Harris’ hosting duties
“Neil was amazing,” Jane, who has previously hosted the show, said with a smile. “So charming and so effortless, he puts us all to shame, those of us who have tried to do this.”
