Joan Rivers’ daughter has given fans an update on her mother.
“My mother has been moved out of intensive care and into a private room where she is being kept comfortable. Thank you for your continued support,” Melissa Rivers, daughter of Joan Rivers, said in a statement on Wednesday.

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, a source told Access that the 81-year-old entertainer was placed in a medically induced coma last Thursday.
Joan went in for throat surgery last Thursday at Yorkville Endoscopy. During the procedure, the entertainer stopped breathing and a call was made to 911, the source previously said. She was rushed from Yorkville to Mt. Sinai hospital at the time.
