Joe Lawrence: You Can Call Me Joey

HOLLYWOOD (August 24, 2006) –Fans of former child star-turned-”Dancing With the Stars”-hopeful Joe Lawrence can breathe easy once again.

You can now call him Joey.

But as it turns out, it’s not big deal to Lawrence either way.

However, Access Hollywood learned on Thursday that Lawrence wasn’t sure where the need to call him “Joe” came from, but that he does in fact still go by Joey.

Joey (pictured with “DWTS” partner Edyta Sliwinska) will put on his dancing shoes when the new season of “Dancing With the Stars” debuts September 12 on ABC.
