Nick Cannon Pens Open Letter To His Babies — Via A Rap Song: ‘Your Mother’s One Of The Greats’

Nick Cannon is getting ready for the birth of his twins with wife Mariah Carey, by penning a rap filled with advice for the little ones.

The “America’s Got Talent” host, actor and musician Tweeted a link to a rap he made, using Sade’s song, “Pearls,” in which he offers advice for his little boy and little girl, who Nick told Access Hollywood over the weekend are due, “any day now.”

“Gotta spit these Pearls to my unborns/Poems ‘til they get into this world,” Nick said in his rap.

“Show ‘em hot to fit into this world,” Nick continued. “Knowing unless you’re gonna make a difference you ain’t s*** in this world. ‘Scuse my language/Dang, guess I’m just anxious, man, to take away the suffering pain, hatred and anguish/This place is dangerous.”

Among the other “Pearls” of wisdom Nick offered in his rap include, “Don’t be too religious/that’s just a business,” and be prepared for race and class-ism.

“They gonna hate on your skin tone, hate your income, hate your homes and even hate on your mom,” he raps. “Hate on me for even making this song/But you are not alone.”

Nick also offered a little introduction to the babies’ superstar mom.

“Your mother’s one of the greats and when I meet you in person, I’m gonna say this to your face: My Daughter, be careful, but my son, go harder…” he rapped.

Nick also added he’s already toasting his children’s arrival.

“I ain’t never drink, but this is a celebration, so I’m toasting with potions that keep endorphins open,” he adds.
