Derek “McDreamy” Shepherd could very likely be walking down the aisle soon with Meredith Grey.
Actor Patrick Dempsey told USA Today that “Grey’s Anatomy” may finally see its premiere couple make it to the altar.
“There may be [a wedding],” Dempsey told the paper. “I think so.”
But for all those wondering how Meredith, with her various issues including childhood-related abandonment and emotional abuse, and the dependable McDreamy, will manage co-habitation in matrimonial form, he said it may end up as awkward as it should be.
“I don’t think it will be a typical marriage,” Dempsey noted.
And though he has no confirmation that Meredith and Derek (McDreamy) will actually wed, he added that things are feeling that way on set.
“Rumor has it something might be happening. I think they have to,” Dempsey stated. “It’s time for them to get together.”
