Rob Kardashian is looking back while moving forward.
On Thursday, the reality star and dad-to-be shared a sweet throwback photo of himself with his late father, Robert Kardashian, and also shared his excitement for upcoming parenthood.
"Can't wait!! MISS YOU POPS," Rob wrote on Instagram, captioning the adorable snap which shows Rob as a little boy smiling alongside the famed attorney.
Robert passed away in 2003 after a battle with esophageal cancer. In a new cover story for People, Rob revealed how their relationship is influencing the kind of father he hopes to be when his child is born later this year.
"I had a really close bond with my dad. I was only with him for 15 years," Rob told the mag. "That's why I'm looking forward to having that long-term bond with my child and being funny and goofy like my dad was."
As for how Robert would embrace Rob's happy news, the 29-year-old said he believes he can sense his dad's pride.
"He's definitely happy, looking down," Rob said.
Rob and his fiancée, Blac Chyna, announced her pregnancy back in May. Their journey is being chronicled for E!'s upcoming six-part docuseries "Rob & Chyna," premiering on Sept. 11.
